Verrrrrry strange.

I know I never update this journal, since I'm a lurker, but I just had to annouce that I JUST GOT ACCEPTED TO SMITH COLLEGE! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

*DIES*

The best part is that I don't have to apply to any other colleges, and there were some scary essays on the supplements to some. It's done! Wahey!

I just had the most... amazing experience. Ever. Aahhh.
The adrenaline is just leaving me, so I'm starting to feel a bit queasy, but who cares! I met Snarry fen! I can die happy!

Miranda and I took the train down to Salem, and wandered around for a good while before the Snarry meeting at 9, jealously eyeing the lanyards of the Witching Hour people. Damn you, SAT's! Why must you be directly in the middle of it! But I digress. We lurked at the pizza place where the meeting was in absolute shock and awe for about 30 minutes, munching manically on our french fries. I was seriously having a Wayne's World moment.

I saw: Dementordelta, snapetoy, sociofemme, luthien, marksykins, cordelia_v, bethbethbeth, nimori, ellen_fremedon, reddwarfer, amanuensis1, cluegirl, Isis, Isolde, femmequixotic, and many others who I can't remember at the moment, cause I'm so ecstatic.

Delta was amazing! She introduced us to a bunch of people, we signed her shirt (as the lurkers and desperate fangirls we are), and she gave us an autograph! She was so friendly, I couldn't get over it. Snapetoy gave me marmite (or possible vegemite) on toast, which was amazing, suprisingly, considering my first experience with the stuff was traumatizing. She also gave me cookies, and had an awesome Australian accent. Nimori drew Miranda a gen Snarry sketch that I think we're going to photocopy and tape up, well, basically everywhere. And sociofemme! Aaaaaahhhh! I told her about my absolute lurking and fangirling of her, and she was so nice! She was happy, and excited beyond belief, and hugged me! Three times! Miranda and I are now her official fangirls, and I'm tempted never to wash my shirt again.

Speaking of which, I wore my "Snape is Innocent" t-shirt, which many people commented on. I babbled about having worn it to school, and gotten into an argument with my teacher, and had to convince her of the Snape-love. In Spanish! Marksykins said she would have given me house points if I was officially part of the con! So much love for fandom! I must stop using exclamation points!

The only thing I vaguely regret is that we didn't break out into song. I mean, we have an official song now. What better a time to sing it! Maybe they sang later; I got pulled away pretty early my Miranda's mum, because of SAT's early tomorrow.

I don't think I'll ever stop smiling. How I'll have a clear mind for the SAT II's, I have no idea. But I'll be triumphant, because Sociofemme said she would be thinking of Miranda and I! Life is grand. And I really, really need to go to Lumos next year.
